Leslie Backiewicz,  Office Manager / Practice Analyst
With over eleven years experience in the dental field, Leslie brings a lot to the practice. She has been a treatment coordinator, office manager, dental lab rep, and dental office consultant over the years. Currently, she is combining all of that knowledge to implement improvements at this office and carry them over to our new building. She has worked hard to create a soothing atmosphere for our patients to enjoy and has set a higher standard for patient care overall. Leslie has been responsible for creating our new office start to finish. A big job, but right up her alley, especially decorating it! Leslie enjoys spending time with her family of four children and husband Dr. Tim. They enjoy exciting weekend activities like boating , short trips, and fun at home. Leslie shines at planning parties and events for the kids, family, and office. She's best known for their annual Halloween celebration.

Tia Tennant, Treatment Coordinator
As a member of our team, Tia loves the atmosphere in our practice and the diverse group of patients we see. Tia and her husband Mike have a son, Blake, a daughter Mckinley, and two dogs, Hayes and Duncan. To relax, Tia enjoys spending time with her family, especially watching Ohio State football.

Amy Jarvis (AJ), Treatment Coordinator
As our treatment coordinator, Amy will ensure your visits are conveniently scheduled and follow up with you after treatment has been completed. Her passion for personalized services and friendly care is only rivaled by her thirst for dental knowledge. She loves the challenge dentistry brings every day, and working with our friendly, supportive staff makes coming into the office a pleasure. Amy’s formal education comes from Ohio State University, where she studied elementary education. She and her fiancé, Jeff, currently live in Worthington with their dogs, Jasmyn and Layla, and their cat Harley.

Laura Morris, Dental Hygienist
With 12 years of experience as a dental hygienist, Laura has a gentle and skilled touch our patients appreciate. She takes pride in her work and her favorite part of the job is building lasting relationships with our patients while helping them to achieve good oral health. Originally from Lima, Laura is a graduate of Rhodes State College and joined New Albany Family Dentistry in 1999. When she’s not brightening our patients' smiles, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, traveling, reading, and making cute hairbows for little girls. When you see them for sale at the office, you’ll know they are Laura’s handiwork!

Nicole Vari, Dental Hygienist
Nicole joined New Albany Family Dentistry as a hygienist in 2009. She has a BS degree in dental hygiene from the Ohio State University, where she graduated Cum Laude. Licensed to administer local anesthesia, Nicole is dedicated to providing comfortable, high-quality care to our patients. Nicole and husband, Tony, have three daughters, Katelyn, Hailey, and Aliah. In their free time, they enjoy spending time together, enjoying the outdoors, and Ohio State sporting events.

Wendi Riggleman, Dental Assistant
Wendi joined our team in June of 2010, and she brings 16 years of dental experience to our office. She assists Dr. Backiewicz and Dr. Thompson with various dental procedures, including digital radiography, and she ensures our patients are comfortable and their questions are answered in detail. She loves our office’s caring, family-friendly environment and the focus everyone gives to achieving our patients’ goals. Away from the office, Wendi enjoys spending time with her husband, Steve, and daughter, Alexis, as well as playing softball and volleyball.
